next Saturday
« on: September 27, 2020, 04:57:31 am »
See the Ressies are at home next Saturday 2.45 KO. Plenty of room to keep the distance ''rule'' in place. Way things are going, might not get too many more games in - play behind closed doors (then go bust??)

With the first team not having a game for some time, I personally think a good idea would be to play a few of them, to keep them match fit. I also think that next week's game will be tough, especially with the way the opposition have set off this year.  I think you may get a few turn up to watch, just to get their football "buzz".
I saw DTRFC play last week(they ground share with Deal and are in the same league as the Rams) and I did a rough headcount and made it 65 were watching. Might not seem much but with the tea hut and clubhouse open, the club(Deal) made a few bob.

At the present ,with Covid, the situation suits the Rams. People can't see higher league stuff, so come here. Let's face it, when was the last time you saw 400 gates at Southwood.?
Behind closed doors? I don't think it will happen. The league, like the SCEFL and others have said, they won't play, if there's no fans present.

I might just wander over, providing the weather's ok(it was wet and windy in Deal yesterday)
Mind you, it was worth it!

I may pop along to watch the Reserves on Saturday.  Looking at the Ashford Town Facebook page, some of the pics showed very little if any social distancing.

Are tickets on sale at the gate Bill please.

That was a good win Phil.

I take it you mean tickets about the 1sts John.
After giving my details at the gate(compulsory, even at KCFL standard), I just walked in. No charge for that league!
Cracking game of footy yesterday. A sending off, two penalities, a "Sin Binning" for Paxman, 7 goals, what more could you ask for?

I presume John means entrance to the Ressie game. That's what I asked. Presume it should be a walk-in and pay

Hi Folks, I mean for the reserve this coming Saturday, not having a go at you Bill, but all this info should be on the website.

All I read was the first team have a break but nothing else about this Saturday coming.

Sounded like a good game Phil.

James said STs get in free, will get back on gate prices.
PS: As I said, if you don't like the social distance, up to you to keep your own distance.

Good luck to Deal tonight.

Another cracking game! 3 sent off! (One from Deal, two from the opposition) A good win!
203 there! :o

Its a shame that the ressies game was called off last Saturday. Seemed to be the only one going in the area. DTRFC played Woodnesborough (same league as the Ressies) at Deals' ground and got 130 there! With the tea bar and clubhouse open, the club were counting the readys afterwards!

A good win that Phil, and a good crowd.  Wonder when we all get back to normal if the crowds will be the same at Deal & R/gate.
