The Ram's Manager
« on: March 29, 2022, 10:19:44 am »
On Kentonline someone made this comment:

The pressure isn't getting to the players? But it is you Longhurst, you resigned Saturday night, and proper mugged the chairman off doing so..and then backtracked Sunday that's the actions of a man who's under pressure.

Any truth in the above?
I hope not, IMO he's done well this season along with the squad, much better than fighting off relegation.

Have you seen the reply on KOL?
If this is somebody trying to be funny and stir the proverbial brown stuff, then it isnt funny!  >:(
I hope someone from the club makes a statement concerning this!

Manager Matt Longhurst says it would be lazy to blame pressure for Ramsgate’s play-off wobble.

I put a comment on whatsapp about the statement. Had quite a few comments. Not sure if the original reply had any truth in it. Hope to hear some more news today (at the working bee)  Let you know if any is repeatable.

This is a reply on KOL.
A take it it's from the Manager.

Lads just as I have always been honest with you and always will be I'm delighted with how this young squad has done this season and I think you have been fantastic this season my staff have been unbelievable I love you all and I have backed you all the chairman has text me last night after the game saying I'm not a top manager at this level and just an under 23 manager and development coach I cant accept this as I believe in myself more than this but we have lost 3 in a row so he can say what he likes I am going to in the morning offer my resignation as I don't believe what he says is true he says he knows the answers so I think he wants to take over as the manager which we will see in time un less he changes his stance I will be resigning from tomorrow as I won't be questioned by such a uneducated fool your my players and I back you until the hilt this idiot will be the fall of this club but thank you for your time and effort and let him now take the mantle I will be in touch over the next few days thanks gaffer

I'm sure the players have read this and if it's true it must effect the players............Or it could work in the best way.

Again if true, why would this be put in the local rag?
