Dont know what its like in "The land of the free and the home of the brave",but over here in good ol' blighty,we're still recovering from the biggest deficit since WW2!
Best some of us can afford is a ticket on the 50/50 raffle!
Maybe Jim could encourage some more sponsors to the ground to get more money into the club!?

Oh well, good try v Margate. Hope to read good report somewhere. Didn't expect to win this one anyway. Another £100 stays in my pocket.

Really entertaining game. Gave the "Big Money Boys" from up the road a good challenge. When announced over the tannoy,the Blue Brigade had a team for the 1st half and a team for the 2nd,whereas the Rams only had the normal subs. As this was their 4th game(and the Reds' 2nd),they did seem slightly fitter and were more aware where the passes went,but all credit to the Rams,who seemed to be playing for pride(and running on adrenalin) at times. See-saw game,where the Rams took the lead on 2 occasions,but unfortunately,an injury time penalty decided the issue. Good crowd there,according to Margate,over 500. The tea hut and bar were certainly doing a roaring trade,which must have put a few welcome coffers in the kitty. All in all, a performance to be proud of. Lets hope it carries on into league games.
And to cap it all, Jim was unusually quiet!

I couldn't get to Southwood last night, my daughter & grandaughter Kat live with me, Kat has kindly given my a heavy cold. 

Good result considering what the Blue (Yellow) side are paying in wages.

A case of "After the Lords Mayors' show",which was to be expected,considering they played Tuesday night. A crowd roughly about a quarter of Tuesdays(and it would have been smaller,had it not been bolstered by a contingent of vociferous Italian students from Churchill House) Must admit it made me smile when they did the Poznan!
Somebody hadn't told Canterbury it was a friendly,because for the opening 20 mins or so,some of the tackles and the way they moaned at the ref(even more than Jim ),you would have thought it was a league game.
Took the lead after 30 mins with a well worked,well taken goal from Pully.Second half,usual swapping with subs coming and going.
A quarter of an hour from the end,they equalised with a penalty,given by the ref(who must have been the only person in the ground to have seen what went on!)
Must say,wasnt impressed by the man in black tonight,who seemed to miss certain things and made some strange decisions!
Lets hope we don't get him down here again in a hurry!
Lets see what happens Tuesday night against Ashford(who although a league below,have some Ryman standard payers and will provide a stern test)

See they had a win at last. Won't make they 3 game win, so might hold over and add to a first game pledge. More later.
